I read stuff like this and am reminded that the UK still has all these people monopolising huge amounts of property, vetoing elected parliamentarians and and referring to themselves by ridiculous titles.

The scandal is aristocracy, not that they are claiming money. Charging rents on ordinary people’s daily lives is literally how aristocracy works.
@hugh Ooo yeah, I remember reading an article a while back about all of that. It's fucking insane.
